The civil war in South Sudan has left the educational system almost non-existent, and in 2016 the number of teachers decreased by 31% due to lack of salary. This issue has carried over into the Refugee Camps. Teachers are teaching in tents and other schools without getting compensation. The teachers at Hope Primary School started their school under a tree, but the lack of money is starting to wear on their families. We hope to ease some of that stress by offering a teacher compensation program. Your donations will help feed their families, provide clothing, and possibly help their spouses start their own businesses. A school without teachers is a school without hope.
